PAGE 1 — THE GOATS

Brenda. Eats anything. Fastest of the five. Nothing bothers her.

Gary. Eats twice his share. Never anywhere near flowers. See page 4.

Duchess. The pretty one. Will not touch a nettle. Good for photographs.

Kevin. The ugly one. No fear on a bank. The steeper the better.

Mabel. Old and slow now. Misses nothing. Mornings only.

PAGE 2 — PRICES

Whole herd, one day — $150 crossed out, $180 written above it  (put up in March, fuel)

One goat, one day — $60

Travel — free up to 20 miles, then $40

Half days — I do not do half days. Not worth getting the trailer out.

PAGE 3 — JOBS DONE THIS YEAR

March 3 — the Whitlock place. Two acres, flat, mostly bramble. Whole herd, one day. Fine.

June 11 — Mrs Aldrich, walled garden. Sent Gary. Gary ate the roses. Gave her $60 back
and a bunch of flowers, which she did not find funny.

July 22 — the old chapel bank. Very steep. Kevin and Brenda only. Two days. Went well.
Kevin earned his keep.

PAGE 4 — RULES I HAVE LEARNED

Gary never goes anywhere there are flowers. Learned June 11. Cost me sixty dollars and my dignity.

Duchess is no good on nettles. Do not send her to a plot nobody has touched in years.

Anything steeper than a staircase, send Kevin.

Mabel does mornings only now.

Mon — Pethers. One acre, flat, brambles.

Tue — nothing yet.

Wed — the chapel bank again, the far side. Steep.

Thu — Hollow Ash school field. They want it tidy and they have a flowerbed.

Fri — Mrs Kemp. Small plot, nettles everywhere.
